Cormac McNally


Cormac studied Economics & Legal Science at NUI, Galway and obtained a postgraduate Higher Diploma in Systems Analysis (Business Systems Development). He worked in the I.T. industry before training in a legal practice in Galway, qualifying as a solicitor in 2007. Cormac is an Associate of the Irish Tax Institute and Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) and a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP Ireland).

Cormac gained significant experience working within the legal team of one of the major Irish Banks for a number of years prior to joining O’Connell Brennan in 2018. Cormac also attained the Qualified Financial Advisor (Lib QFA) designation with the Institute of Banking in 2014 and obtained the Professional Certificate in Wealth Management in 2017.

Cormac advises individuals and families in relation to all aspects of personal estate and tax planning, probate and the administration of estates, wills and succession and trusts. Cormac also advises charities and non-profit organisations and donors in relation to charity law and philanthropic giving.
