Experience and Expertise
Edel studied at University College Dublin. She trained with Orpen Franks and worked there after qualifying. She subsequently worked in the Private Client Department of Arthur Cox as Head of Probate for 16 years before joining O’Connell Brennan in 2020. Edel is also an Associate of the Irish Tax Institute (ITI) and a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) . She has lectured in area of Capital Acquisitions Tax (gift/inheritance tax) for the ITI for 18 years. She has also lectured and tutored for the Law Society in the Probate and CAT areas.
Edel specialises in advising clients on personal estate and tax planning, wills and succession, powers of attorney and the administration of estates.
